Plans, outbound conversations and packs

Choose your Smailor plan for the features and base capacity you need. Add monthly outbound packs when you need more volume. You can buy packs on Free without upgrading, and replies do not consume outbound capacity.

Plans and pack prices

Prices are in EUR, excluding VAT. Solo is annual-only. Annual Starter, Pro and Business cost ten monthly payments. Usage allowances renew every calendar month, including on annual plans.

Available on every plan, including Free. Packs are stackable and always billed monthly.

A new conversation started by you counts as one outbound conversation. Replies don't count.

What counts

An outbound conversation is a new email thread started by you or someone on your account. Its first accepted message consumes one conversation. The quota belongs to the mailbox owner, rather than to the teammate who presses Send. It applies across the dashboard, API and SMTP, including when you use your own sending provider.

• A new dashboard conversation, API send or unthreaded SMTP message counts once.
• Replies and follow-ups in the same existing conversation do not count again, even in a later month.
• Replies to inbound conversations, automatic replies, internal notes, inbound mail and website chat do not consume outbound capacity.
• Forwarding a message within an existing conversation does not consume another conversation.
• A retried submission with the same idempotency key or the same conversation does not consume a second unit. A new submission that starts a separate conversation counts separately.
• A draft alone does not count. A validation, admission or enqueue failure releases its reservation. Once the message is accepted into the delivery queue, the conversation counts even if the recipient later bounces it. Delivery retries and provider fallback do not add a charge.
• Multiple recipients within one conversation do not multiply the conversation count. Separate conversations count separately.

For SMTP, preserve the original reply headers so the existing conversation can be resolved. Changing the subject or dropping the thread reference can start a new conversation. Subject text alone does not establish a reply relationship.

Monthly usage and paid periods

Usage resets at 00:00 UTC on the first day of each calendar month, on every plan. Unused capacity does not roll over. The reset time is separate from a plan or pack's payment renewal date.

Each pack purchase has its own monthly renewal date. A successful purchase adds its full capacity immediately for the current monthly allowance. The first charge is the full monthly price, including a mid-month purchase; there is no partial-month price. Capacity remains part of the monthly allowance while the paid pack period is active. Paid periods run for one calendar month, with end-of-month dates clamped where necessary.

Different packs and multiple copies of the same pack can run together. Each purchase can contain up to 100 copies; separate purchases remain possible. This checkout limit is a technical safeguard, rather than a volume entitlement.

Examples

• Pro + 10,000 pack: 5,000 + 10,000 = 15,000 outbound conversations/month. €9.99 + €11.99 = €21.98/month, excluding VAT.
• Pro + 5,000 pack: 10,000 outbound conversations/month for €19.98/month, excluding VAT.
• Business + 25,000 + 10,000: 55,000 outbound conversations/month for €66.97/month, excluding VAT.
• Free + 1,000 pack: 1,100 outbound conversations/month for €2.39/month, excluding VAT. Free feature access stays the same.
• Solo + 1,000 pack: 1,500 outbound conversations/month; €19.90/year for Solo plus €2.39/month for the pack, excluding VAT. There is no monthly Solo subscription.

Buying, renewing and cancelling

Open Settings → Plan → Manage plans and packs, or account billing. Select a pack quantity, review its price and accept the recurring billing terms before opening Mollie checkout. The estimate combines the plan, existing renewing packs and selected packs, with annual and monthly charges shown separately. Paid capacity from cancelled packs remains included until expiry without a renewal charge. Discounts, scheduled plan changes and other add-ons are separate. Capacity is added only after Smailor verifies payment with Mollie. Returning from checkout alone does not activate it.

To stop renewal, find the purchase in account billing, choose Cancel renewal and confirm. Future renewals stop; already-paid capacity remains until the displayed period end. There is no automatic refund for unused capacity, subject to mandatory rights described in the Terms of Service.

Cancelling or downgrading your feature plan does not cancel packs: they work on Free too. Cancel each unwanted pack separately. Account deletion stops pack renewals before deleting the account; if payment-provider cancellation is unavailable, retry deletion after the connection recovers.

If renewal fails, capacity remains until the already-paid period ends. Unpaid renewal does not extend it. A full refund or chargeback reverses the associated paid capacity. Usage already consumed is not erased. If the remaining allowance drops below usage, you can still reply but cannot open another outbound conversation until capacity is available again.

What happens at the limit

Starting a new outbound conversation returns 429 send_limit_reached when no capacity remains. Existing replies continue. Add a pack, upgrade your plan, or wait for the next UTC calendar month. There are no automatic overage charges or plan upgrades.

Plan upgrades and downgrades change the base allowance without resetting consumed usage. Packs increase outbound volume only: received email, storage, addresses, groups, teammates and feature access remain governed by the plan. Free still has no paid API or SMTP access; purchasing a pack does not unlock those features.

Rate limits, domain verification, sender reputation, anti-abuse controls and sending-provider limits apply independently to conversations and replies. Capacity is permission to start conversations within those rules, rather than a guarantee of delivery or a bulk-mail exemption.

Prices shown here exclude VAT. Review the applicable amount, tax treatment, payment method and renewal period before confirming checkout. Any applicable promotional offer follows its own stated conditions. Extra email addresses, marketplace addresses and Telecom/SMS subscriptions are separate products and retain their own prices.
